Living the Dream with Tuscany Easy Travel
“Meet Marradi” … the people, the town, and the spirit of a special village in Italy. This is the place where I live, work, and play.
When I am asked about my story and how I arrived in this small town of Marradi, Italy. My response is always, “Marradi found me!” There is no other way to put it into words. My goal in this blog is to give you an idea of how truly lucky I am to be part of this community; not only because of the people, but also because of the beautiful area, and a way of life I have fully embraced and can not imagine life anywhere else.
Let me introduce you to Pier Paolo Campoli, a fun and energetic tennis pro, who lives in Marradi.
Pier Paolo started playing tennis as a young child. He grew up watching his father play tennis so it was no surprise when he decided to take up the sport. Pier says it is part of what his family does. On many nights, you will find Pier and his whole family at the Centro Tennis in Marradi.
Pier and I meet once or twice a week. He tries to help me with my tennis and I try to follow his instructions. Most days we speak in Italian, but there are some days we try our hand at English. It makes for some good laughs as Pier works on my tennis and I try to work on expanding his English.
I appreciate Pier as my tennis pro because he is always challenging me, no matter if it is about improving my game or improving my Italian. I have learned many things about my tennis game, thanks to Pier. And I’ve even learned the Italian words I need to know to play tennis with my Italian friends. I also think Pier likes learning English from me, too.
When you decide to visit Marradi and would like to play some tennis, I am always up for a game. If you want to have a lesson from a nice young Italian tennis professional it just so happens … I know one!
